Imam Jamil's Statement on behalf of Sekou Odinga‏

Bismillahi Rahman Ar-Raheem

Sekou Mgabazi Abdullah Odinga was a Muslim who fully understood that fighting on behalf of
the oppressed is imcumbent upon us as believers. He demonstrated that understanding by
joining and fighting with other oppressed people in South Africa, Lebanon and Palestine just to
name a few people and places. He returned to continue the fight for liberation of the oppressed
here involving his own people.

Request for du’ah for Brother Kamau Sadiki & a brief historical background

IJAN Letterhead

As Salaamo Alaikum wa Rahmatullah beloved brothers and sisters , fellow believers in Islam.

I am  your brother Bilal Sunni-Ali,  Amir of IJAN, the Imam Jamil Action making this request of all believers that we make duah for our brother Kamau Sadiki.

Historical note:

Brother Kamau Sadiki who‘s trial for the murder of a City of Atlanta Patrolman was presided over by Judge Stephanie Mannis, the same judge who only months earlier presided over the case of our Imam Jamil Al-Amin. Both cases which had serious issues of lack of evidence being tied to the defendants were pushed to conviction through the same summarily sustaining and approval  of prosecutors motions and denial of defendant’s motions. Kamau’s trial which took place over thirty years after the actual death of the policeman relied heavily on the emotional public response to a policeman being murdered than on any direct evidence being tied to the one being accused of committing the crime. Kamau’s trial came as a direct result of the FBI’s threatening to have him spend the rest of his life in prison for not cooperating with them. Kamau Sadiki, the father of Assata Shakur’s daughter had been asked to be a part of a scheme that would lure Sister Assate away from Cuba, where she now  enjoys political asylum to somewhere where she could be  taken into custody by U.S. authorities.

Request for duah:

The time that the  duah is requested to be offered is Friday February 16, 2024 . This is three days before Kamau’s 71st birthday but more importantly it is the beginning of a week of an Inter Faith Conference calling for the release of elderly political prisoners. As participants in the conference i along Sister Shafeah M’Bali, southern coordinator  of IJAN will be presenting as part of a panel held also on Saturday February 17th between 4 and 6 pm on the topic Islam and political and social movements in the U.S.A.

Further information about the conference and related activities will be soon to follow.

IJAN Statement in Support of South Africa Charge of Isreal of Genocide

IJAN Letterhead

Jan. 2, 2023 | 19 Jumada al-Akhirah, 1445

In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, most Merciful. Indeed all praises are due to Allah, so we praise him. We rely upon Him and seek His forgiveness. We bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, born fourteen centuries ago on the Arabian Peninsula, is His last messenger, Peace be Upon Him.

The Quran is the most truthful of words and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, Peace be Upon Him, (the Sunnah). The most evil of things are the muhdathaat; these are the hangups or ideas people make up in their own minds that prevent them from practicing Islam as it came to the Messenger, Peace be Upon Him. Every one of these hangups (muhdathaat) are innovations/Bid'ah. And, every Bid'ah is in the hell fire.

In translation of the meaning of what Allah has said in Surah 3 Ayah 102: "O believers! Be mindful of Allah in the way He deserves, and do not die except in a state of full submission to Him."

To Proceed:

Post-October 7th, 2023, the world begins a valiant resistance against being pushed back into a state of ignorance after having witnessed the most recent set of Zionist-led crimes against humanity. On Dec. 29,  South Africa launched a case against the Zionist Occupation at the UN’s international court of justice (ICJ) charging the Zionist occupiers with genocide during it’s most recent criminal operations.

The British daily newspaper, the Guardian, reported:

Any case at the ICJ is likely to take years to resolve, but South Africa has called for the court to convene in the next few days to issue “provisional measures” calling for a ceasefire. In March 2022, the ICJ ordered Russia to halt its offensive in Ukraine, an order which was supposed to be legally binding, but Moscow ignored it anyway. Any such ruling however is likely to significantly sway international public opinion.

“The acts and omissions by Israel complained of by South Africa are genocidal in character because they are intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group,” the South African application to open proceedings said.

“Provisional measures are necessary in this case to protect against further, severe and irreparable harm to the rights of the Palestinian people under the Genocide Convention, which continue to be violated with impunity.”

Article IX of the Genocide Convention allows any state party to the convention to bring a case against another to the ICJ, even if it doesn’t have any direct link to the conflict in question. Last year, the court ruled that the Gambia could bring a genocide claim against Myanmar. The court also ruled in a case between Croatia and Serbia that depriving a people of food, shelter, medical care and other means of subsistence constitutes genocidal acts.

“Genocidal intent is assumed to be the most difficult element to prove, but Israelis in charge of prosecuting this conflict have made a plethora of statements that easily prove the requisite intent to ‘destroy in whole or in part’ the Palestinian population in Gaza,” said Susan Akram, director of the international human rights clinic at Boston University.

The Imam Jamil Action Network stands in support of South Africa raising this case to the ICJ and for its call for a ceasefire. However, we call humanity to recognize the rotten heart of the true Axis of Evil that is the United States government and its allies.

The human devils making up the core of United States government, having a few centuries more experience than the fledgling Zionist colony, is committing protracted genocide against black, brown, and indigenous people. It is also this cabal of human-looking-beings that send support and arms to the Zionist Occupation in evil aid against humanity.

The Imam Jamil Action Network invites humanity to not ignore the role of the United States government in the genocide going on in Palestine and we invite humanity to struggle to put a stop of all genocide and crimes committed by evil-doers. In the end, there is no power nor any might except with Allah. Allah is sufficient for us and the best of those on whom to depend.

Imam Jamil’s Stance on Palestine and Rashida Tlaib

In the name of Allah, most gracious and most merciful.

Over these past months, we have yet again been witness to atrocities committed by the Zionist occupation, against Palestine and its people. Imam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin declares to the world that he stands with the people of Palestine, and against its destruction caused by any and all outside forces or policies.

Also brought to the attention of Imam Jamil, was the censoring of Representative Rashida Tlaib by the House of Representatives for statements she made earlier in November of this year. She is being targeted for daring to support human rights and calling for a ceasefire in response to the barbaric slaughter of, as of Dec. 8 and reported by the Gaza Health Ministry, over 17,177 Palestinian civilians in Gaza, including more than 7,112 children, by the Zionist occupation. Imam Jamil wishes to express the willingness, of himself and his constituents, to be at the service of Representative Tlaib in any capacity she believes may prove instrumental.
